PRIVATE AND SEMI-PRIVATE INSTRUCTION

Your private instruction will begin with SAFETY FUNDAMENTALS. We will handle a number of different firearms and talk about how they work, and why they work the way they do. We will start our adventure on the range with .22 caliber firearms so that you can learn how to shoot before you have to factor in the recoil that comes along with larger calibers. 

If  you are a new shooter, your first class will be 3 hours. We’ve got lots to cover, and time flies! We will spend the first 2 hours (approximately) in the classroom before we head out into the range. Your first class is $250, and Jessica will provide everything you need for your class i.e. range fees, firearms, ammo, hearing and eye protection, and targets. We will shoot mostly .22 caliber, and about 5 rounds each of a few larger calibers. A second shooter can be added to the first class for an additional $175.  

I like to have my students try out as many firearms as possible before they make a decision on what’s right for them. You will find that you inherently shoot better with some firearms vs. others. We utilize the range’s rental guns to “try before you buy.” There’s nothing better than making an educated decision on a firearm purchase, and that means shooting them. What fun! If you have purchased your own gun already, and you would like to shoot more ammo through it during your first lesson, you can bring or purchase a box of ammo from the range. I will not cover any extra ammo besides what is stated above.

After your initial 3 hour lesson, private Instruction with Jessica is $75 per hour. Semi-Private (2 people) is $120 per hour ($60 each). You are responsible for your range fee, ammunition, targets, and gun rental fee (if applicable). I will provide your hearing and eye protection for your time on the range. 

ANY AND ALL INSTRUCTION TIME WITH JESSICA CAN BE APPLIED TO YOUR 16 HOURS FOR THE ILLINOIS CONCELAED CARRY LICENSE SHOULD YOU DECIDE TO PERSUE IT.

Proper attire for the shooting range: 

A crew-neck t-shirt (so we don’t have any sneaky hot shell casings take a field trip down our shirt) 

Closed-toe shoes (same reason, except for feet) 

A baseball cap (keeps shell casings out of our safety glasses)

PLEASE BRING ALL OF YOUR CORRECTIVE EYEWEAR - SEEING THE SIGHTS WITHOUT YOUR GLASSES IS HARD
